To the best of my knowledge, there are many influences on the development of a child’s personality, but the main causes are his genetic makeup, environment, and behavioral genetics.
There is evidence that both genetics and environment affect children’s personality. Studies have shown that the tendency to acquire some personality characteristics – including activity levels, anxiety, aggression, and independence – can be inherited. Although one’s genetic makeup does not determine one’s behavior, it provides a child strong tendency to behave in a particular way.
Personality is also influenced by environment. Thus, a child with particular personality characteristics is more likely to show them if the home environment reinforces them. For example, harshly punishing a child who has a genetically based tendency for aggression contributes further to the child’s aggression.
Major advances have been made through behavioral genetics, the field concerned with the relative influence of genetic and environmental factors on individual behavior. 1 过于套路却逻辑不通的开头
最套路的开头莫过于with the development of the society 了。这个表达首先过于常见，其次这个表达在逻辑关系上过于泛泛而谈。雅思写作的句间逻辑非常重要，这样的表达很难构建一个清晰严密的逻辑。我们举例说明。
题目：为了保证行车安全，有些人建议把开车者的年龄提高，你同意与否？
如果同学的开头段写成“随着社会的发展，越来越多的人开始开车”。这句话看似没有问题，但是前后两句话并没有直接紧密的因果关系。更为逻辑严密的表达应该是“随着汽车工业的发展以及人们生活水平的提高，越来越多的人开始开车”。
因此with the development of the society会给考官一个“敷衍”的感觉，考生无法展示出自己真正的阐述背景的语言能力。
2 使用套句
这是另一个考生常陷入的误区。中国考生太常使用套句，无论怎么改，在考官眼里依然是千篇一律。大家要注意，在考官评分时，如果认为你的套句是“背诵段落”，那么这部分不会算分，套句中的高级表达词汇就全都无用了。另外，套句不能算作写作字数，你的作文有可能因为字数不够而直接扣分。因此想拿高分的同学不要使用套句。
什么样的句子是套句呢？如果你的句子想表达的意思是“人们一直关注/讨论……”“关于……的问题引起了广泛争论/有不同观点”之类的套话，那么这些句子就会有套句嫌疑。
3 改写题目
这个方法是可行的，但是很多同学的词汇量有限，无法找到恰当的替换词或替换表达，以至于改写出的。句子已经面目全非。
如何写大作文开头段
一般开头段主要包括两句话，背景句+观点句。
先说背景句，建议大家用“因为+所以”的逻辑关系去表述。比如我们刚刚举例的关于开车年龄的问题。为什么会有人希望提升开车年龄呢？原因可能是车祸数量逐年上升。那么背景句就可以写成“近年来车祸数量逐年上升，因此有些人希望通过提高驾驶年龄来遏制这个趋势”。
再来说观点句。实际上观点句不需要把所有细节都写上，因为很多同学的词汇量有限，可能重复使用背景句中的词汇。因此观点句可以直接简化为“我同意这个观点”或者“我反对这个观点”。
再举个例子，题目为科学家和游客都喜欢去一些偏远的地区，比如南极，你觉得好不好。
按照刚才的逻辑，开头段可以写成“因为对未知领域抱着好奇心，很多人想去偏远的地方，我同意/反对这种做法”。
这种开头段最重要的一点就是你选择的“原因”一定要是最直接的。比如另一道题目：很多 如果你的背景句选择的原因是“因为大城市的私家车太多了，因此住在大城市对身体健康有危害”。这两句之间的因果关系就不够紧密，实际上这个因果逻辑需要再补充一些解释，比如“因为私家车太多，尾气排放就会增多，空气污染加剧，因此有害大城市人的身体健康”。这类因果逻辑较复杂的原因就不建议使用在开头段作为背景句。用在主体段作为论点比较好。这道题的直接原因可以表述为“由于大城市的污染加剧，很多人觉得住在大城市对健康不利”。

作文结构是最简单的，10分钟搞定，根本不需要想太多。经常被学生问道：这样写可不可以，那样写可不可以。其实雅思对结构的要求中规中矩，即大作文一般都是写4-5段，第一段表达观点，正文段从不同角度来论证，最后一段重申观点。
2.内容。
更多的同学是在内容上遇到了障碍。很多人在思索有没有什么高深的论点，有没有什么新颖的观点可以使自己更加突出。其实，雅思考试就那么点时间，要在短时间内构思出来那么些东西对大多数同学来说是不太现实的'。所以雅思写作的内容主要体现在两个字：充实！specifically，就是正文段每个分论点后面都要有一定的展开，至少能够构思2-3个分论点来证明自己的观点。
3.语言。
这是很多同学盲目自信的地方或者自卑的地方。用最简单的语言来说：5-6分就是看语言的正确性；7-8分就是看语言的多样性（当然是建立在正确性的基础之上的）。其实提高写作之所以难就是难在短时间内语言上很难有一个质的飞跃！
作文检查重点：
1.是否使用了正确的语法结构，比方说，动词时态一致、主谓一致、用词准确、词性(尤其是名词、动词、形容词)、名词单复数、冠词错误和介词错误。
2.句式是否有变化 (如各种从句的使用、分词结构等 )
3.使用了一定的词汇量 ( 如用同义词或词组来避免过多的重复)
4.标点、拼写没有错误。
5.在每段的主题句中都表明了这个段落的中心思想，所有扩展句都紧扣主题。

It is clear that the number of visitors to Museum A fluctuated over the years. In 2010, there were approximately 400,000 visitors, which increased slightly to around 450,000 in 2012. However, it then dropped to 350,000 in 2014 before rising again to 420,000 in 2015.

2、7分8分人群。很多人都好奇这个分数到底是个怎么样的水平，7分和8分又有什么区别。我这里反问一句：雅思作文倒底是注重句型的变化还是词汇的难度？以及雅思作文到底是注重词汇的难度还是词汇的宽度？如果同学们能想通这个问题，雅思作文高分就有希望了！
有些可能不相信或仍存在疑惑，那么请仔细的阅读剑3和剑4后的例文(由考官准备的，9分的水平)，便能证明我的建议了。
首先大家应该了解一下什么是真正的英文学术语言。正式的英文学术语言首要的一个特征就是正式性和严肃性，具体体现为不用简写、不用口语、不用个人语气、不直接引用别人的原话或对话。
道理很简单，学术文章不是小说，小说为了生动，给人一种身临其境的感觉，经常使用口语话、个人化的语言，也经常直接引用人物之间的对话。而学术文章则要求客观、严谨、条理清楚、逻辑清晰，没有或者极少个人的感情色彩。
举例来说，我们在口语或者小说中经常使用词的缩写形式或简易形式，比如youre, theres等等，但在雅思作文中我们就不能用这些简写形式，而应该用完整形式you are, there is;又比如口语中经常把冰箱叫做fridge, 雅思作文中我们就应该用refrigerator不用fridge。
另外，在论述的时候最好不要直接引用别人的。话：如。, says 某某某，而应该用According to 某某某，然后再用自己的语言简述他的观点，这样显得很专业。
It is argued that testing motorists’ driving skills and hazard perception on a yearly basis is the most effective method to guarantee road safety. Personally, I totally disagree with this, as some drivers will continue to drive irresponsibly and meanwhile various other measures are also useful.
The primary reason supporting my stance is that even if all drivers are tested regularly, a proportion of them will still be unlikely to adhere to traffic rules. It is often the case that drivers understand what they are supposed to do while driving. For example, they know that car indicators should be used to signal their intention to turn at an intersection and driving is prohibited after they have had more than a standard drink. However, accidents frequently occur because some refuse to behave responsibly, thereby making it impossible to maintain road safety.
Another important point I consider is that many other factors, including the great visibility of road signs and markings as well as harsh punishments, play an equally important role in the improvement of road safety. If traffic signages are properly installed and markings are clearly seen, drivers will be conscious of the speed at which they should drive and the place where they are permitted to change lanes. Similarly, with stiff penalties implemented, drivers’ reckless behaviour will be deterred as they will be frightened of being heavily fined and even imprisoned.
In conclusion, I have strong opposition to the viewpoint that in terms of ensuring road safety, no other ways are superior to forcing drivers to submit to an annual test of their ability to drive and awareness of danger. For one thing, not every driver will strictly follow traffic regulations; for another, alternative approaches, such as making roadway signs and markings easily recognisable and enforcing strict laws and regulations, are also decisive to improving road safety.
